PEPSI BIG UP PROMOTION 2025
1. APPLICATION AND PROMOTERS
These promotional competition terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to the Pepsi Big Up Promotion (the "Promotion") conducted by Little Green Beverages (Pty) Ltd trading as The Beverage Company (registration no. 1998/005886/07) ("BevCo"), acting under authority from PepsiCo, Inc. ("PepsiCo"), together with their appointed marketing agencies, including BuzzFone and H&A Manufacturing (Pty) Ltd (collectively, the "Promoters"). The Promoters’ principal place of business is 20 Anvil Road, Isando, South Africa.
2. AGREEMENT TO BE BOUND
Instructions on how to enter, together with all rules, procedures, directions and prizes, form part of these Terms. By taking part, every person ("Participant" or "Entrant") confirms that they have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. The Promoters’ decision on any matter arising out of or in connection with the Promotion is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
3. ELIGIBILITY
3.1 The Promotion is open to natural persons who are:
(a) citizens or lawful residents of the Republic of South Africa;
(b) 18 (eighteen) years of age or older on the date of entry; and
(c) in possession of a valid South African identity document (or, in the case of residents, a valid passport together with the requisite proof of residency) and a valid South African bank account.
3.2 The following persons are not eligible to participate: directors, members, partners, employees or agents of, or consultants to, the Promoters, PepsiCo, BevCo or their holding or subsidiary companies, or the immediate family members of any such persons
(collectively "Disqualified Persons").
3.3 Any person who has won a prize in a PepsiCo‑sponsored promotion in the preceding 24 (twenty‑four) months (calculated from 1 May 2023) is not eligible to be a winner under this Promotion.
4. PROMOTIONAL PERIOD
The Promotion commences at 00:01 on 20 May 2025 and closes at 23:59 on 30 September 2025 (the "Promotional Period"). No entries received after 23:59 on the closing date will be valid.
5. HOW TO ENTER
The Promotion consists of two separate campaigns, each with its own entry mechanic:
5.1 Wholesaler Campaign
(a) Purchase one (1) shrink wrap (6 × 750 ml) of participating Pepsi (any variant) from a participating wholesale outlet during the Promotional Period.
(b) Retain the original till slip as proof of purchase. Dial the toll‑free Pepsi "Buzz Call" number 0800 429 987.
The call will disconnect after a single ring at zero cost to the Entrant.
(c) Immediately thereafter, the Entrant will receive an SMS confirming the entry ("Confirmation SMS").
(d) Retain the original till slip as proof of purchase.
(e) Each Confirmation SMS represents one (1) valid entry into the Spaza Campaign draw.
(c) Each qualifying shrink purchased constitutes one (1) valid entry into the Wholesaler Campaign draw.
5.2 Spaza Campaign
(a) Purchase one (1) × 750 ml bottle of participating Pepsi (any variant) from a participating Spaza store during the Promotional Period.
(b) Dial the toll‑free Pepsi "Buzz Call" number 0800 429 987. The call will disconnect after a single ring at zero cost to the Entrant.
(c) Immediately thereafter, the Entrant will receive an SMS confirming the entry ("Confirmation SMS").
(d) Retain the original till slip as proof of purchase.
(e) Each Confirmation SMS represents one (1) valid entry into the Spaza Campaign draw.
5.3 Multiple entries are permitted, provided that each entry is supported by a separate qualifying purchase and a unique till slip. Maximuim entries 4
5.4 No network fees or charges are incurred when using the Buzz Call number.
6. PRIZES
6.1 Wholesaler Campaign Main Prize: One (1) solar inverter system valued at R50 000.
6.2 Spaza Campaign Main Prize: One (1) solar inverter system valued at R50 000.
6.3 The total prize value for the Promotion is therefore R100 000 (one hundred thousand Rand).
6.4 There are no instant‑win prizes or rewards associated with either campaign. Prizes are not transferable, may not be exchanged for cash and may not be substituted except at the Promoters’ discretion for a prize of comparable commercial value if required.
7. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
7.1 One (1) potential winner will be drawn at random for each campaign from all valid entries received by 23:59 on 30 September 2025.
7.2 The draws will be conducted by an independent certified auditor within fourteen (14) days of the Promotional Period closing.
7.3 Potential winners will be contacted telephonically within forty‑eight (48) hours of the draw using the mobile number associated with the entry. If, after three (3) attempts, a potential winner cannot be reached, the prize will be forfeited and a redraw will occur.
7.4 Before being confirmed as a winner, a potential winner must:
(a) complete and sign a prize‑acceptance form;
(b) provide a legible copy of their South African ID (or passport and proof of residency);
(c) provide proof of residential address dated within the last three months; and
(d) provide the original till slip corresponding to the winning entry as proof of purchase.
7.5 Prizes will be delivered to verified winners within thirty (30) days of confirmation. Delivery will be made only to an address within the Republic of South Africa during working hours (09:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday). If delivery is not accepted within thirty (30) days of first contact, the prize will be forfeited.
8. IMAGE RIGHTS AND PUBLICITY
By participating, Entrants grant the Promoters permission to publish their name, voice, photographs and/or likeness for publicity purposes in any media without further compensation, unless the winner expressly withdraws consent.
9. COSTS
Except as expressly provided in these Terms, any and all costs and expenses associated with accepting and using a prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All copyright and other intellectual‑property rights in promotional material produced by or on behalf of the Promoters vest in the Promoters.
11. DISQUALIFICATION AND FRAUD
The Promoters reserve the right to disqualify any person who breaches these Terms, tampers with the entry process or acts in a manner contrary to the spirit of the Promotion.
12. CANCELLATION OR VARIATION
The Promoters may cancel, suspend or amend the Promotion or these Terms (including any prize) at any time on reasonable notice if circumstances beyond their reasonable control make such action necessary.
13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Promoters, PepsiCo and their associated companies and agencies disclaim all liability for any loss, damage, injury or expense suffered or incurred by any Participant or winner as a result of or in connection with the Promotion or the acceptance or use of any prize.
14. DATA PROTECTION
Personal information collected in connection with this Promotion will be processed in accordance with applicable data‑protection legislation and retained for three (3) years for audit purposes.
15. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
